ABOUT US

Pest Nest Games is a place for community, inclusivity, and fun! Striving to create a dynamic and engaging atmosphere with something for everyone to enjoy, Pest Nest Games is your newest friendly local game store. Though this is the passion project of Faeryn & Alex, it is meant to be enjoyed by everyone! The name 'Pest Nest' comes from their shared love for all the "pests" around. All are welcome in the nest!

is to:

    • Horizontal pay structure with fair salaries/benefits

    • Foster an inclusive welcoming environment for all

    • Utilize local distributors and eco-friendly packaging

    • Cater to allergies and dietary restrictions as the default instead of an upcharge or afterthought

    • Offer a hangout spot that isn't a bar or a mall

    • Safe space for people that are historically excluded from gaming communities

    • Take part in local revitalization

    • Lower the up front financial burden of introductory gaming

    • Board Game Library will allow people to try out games before buying

    • Intro Events to help teach and guide people through more involved gaming hobbies

    • Tools and starter kits to provide people the opportunity and space to try out gaming hobbies without full commitment

    • Public and private tables to better provide the space to participate

  • Faeryn is a disabled neurodivergent queer individual with a passion for board games, loud clothes, and befriending the local birds. With an expansive background in customer service, Faeryn has experience in numerous aspects of retail operations including 15 years of working in retail, managerial, barista, food service, and customer service industries. They collect Furbies, EGL fashion, and plushies. Some fun facts about them are that they still have their original Neopets account from when they were a child, have been plant based for 20 years, and they sneeze when they eat too much! Originally hailing from Kansas, they are glad to now call the true Emerald City of Seattle their home.

  • Alex is a Shadowrun fanatic, footsoldier of the Moé revolution, and celebrator of cute things for everyone. Growing up in the middle of nowhere, Alex didn’t have a friendly local game store to call home so Alex started, led, and operated the local high school’s Dungeons and Dragons club. Later, Alex traveled both the US and the world, and everywhere Alex went the first thing Alex would do is visit the local game store. Alex is prone to falling down the wiki well and makes spreadsheets for fun.
